A happy retirement cake for my Uncle Pat who finished work recently. Lots of fun making this – slightly complicated to work out all the details, but I’m really happy with how it worked out. Fancy a slice, anyone?
Here’s a pretty shawl I knitted for my Mum. It has gorgeous cascading ruffles, so you can wear it several ways. If you fancy knitting one yourself, check out the free pattern here. It’s very easy, knits up quickly so you’ll soon have a beautiful flouncy shawl of your very own.
So here’s a peek at my stall from last week’s Christmas Market at the Ropewalk! Wonderful day, with tons of friendly visitors and lots of lovely comments about my Pampootie makes. Mini hot water bottles were snapped up, heart and star decorations were bought, and loads of interest in everything else, including my new flower kits….more about them in the New Year, when I launch my online store!

A little beaded crochet bag I designed for my friend Jo as a gift. It’s lined with vintage silk kimono fabric bought in Japan.
A special cushion I designed and made for a friend. Crocheted in the round with lots of different yarns – mainly wool and silk. I’m pleased how it turned out as I didn’t know what would happen…it evolved! Delighted to say that Berni loved it. Happy meditating…………..
Knitted from a Teva Durham pattern, this was a Christmas gift for my Mum. She loves this and wears it a lot – especially when walking as her arms get chilly. She also wears it as a scarf with the sleeves wrapped round her neck – versatile or what!!
I really, really love this skirt! My first finished crochet project, and when I told people I was making a skirt with motifs they all looked horrified. I could hear the ‘Granny Square Alert’ sirens and expected the ‘Anti-Doily SWAT Team’ to leap from the bushes and take me away for my own safety. Pleased to say that it’s all been lovely compliments at dawn since they’ve seen the finished article.
